Apr 5, 2008. The cheats all games should provide.

Playing a game as an adult is different from playing games as a kid. Adults have alot less time, thanks to work, family, and errands that usually involve the family and work. That's why we love cheats, as a way of finishing a game quicker, without having to deal with some of the drudgery of gaming.

Infinite ammo is no doubt our favorite cheat. Now there's some drudgery if you run out of ammo in an FPS. You have to go find some. Although that might require backtracking or playing parts of a level multiple times to save that extra grenade or rocket for the big boss. It's better, and more fun, just to lay the smackdown on that boss with your weapon of choice fired nonstop.

Infinite Cash

Cash is a serious problem in games that require it, mostly RPGs. That's because there's just not enough cash to buy what you want. We don't like scraping together every coin we can find to buy a sword with +5 enchantment. We do this in real life for +1000 rent. It's not fun and extremely time consuming. So we love the infinite money cheat as a way of buying the weapons we want and not having to make multiple trips to the store from inside a dungeon.

Infinite Health

We're not a fan of infinite health. It takes all the fun out of gaming because you don't have to worry about tactics or skill since you can always heal yourself or have so many hitpoints, you can't die, but it's a very popular cheat.

Leveling Up

We sometimes use the leveling up cheat to learn powerful skills or spells we want. It's not always a good cheat because alot of enemies also level up with you, so you're just basically not changing anything except it looks cooler when you attack.

Goon

Level skip is not a cheat we use often because when you skip levels, you miss details or little points of interest that the developers put in the game. Even a hard or confusing level can be finished using the infinite ammo cheat, which we think is better than just skipping the level entirely.

God Mode

Ah yes, the dreaded God Mode, or invincibility mode if you prefer. Sometimes they are different, but they always involve you having infinite health and infinite energy. You can't die, so there's no point in anything other than rushing through the game to get to the ending. Videogame endings aren't great, so basically you just wasted money finishing the game without dying. Not our favorite cheat, but all games should have it for people who like God Mode in their games.
