Oct 20, 2007. Lost Odyssey Preview.
So what makes Lost Odyssey so special after Mystwalker's very generic Blue Dragon? The answer is alot of stuff. The main character, Kaim Argonar is immortal and 1000 years old. The game will cover some of Kaim's long history and the people he met along the way.

And amazingly enough, one of those people is a woman who is also immortal and has lived 1000 years. Where do they find these people? Anyway, the two join forces to save the world.

Now you're probably rolling your eyes about now and saying so what? But at least they aren't teenagers, which is a rarity for a Japanese RPG. The woman even has a child, who looks older than her. But don't worry, we're completely sure you'll meet plenty of teenagers along the way.

Once again, the creator of Final Fantasy creates a world where science and magic exist. A world where Kaim and the immortal woman find themselves out of touch with since they spent the last 1000 years living life before this new age.

But their fears won't stop them from stomping a whole lot of monsters in what we hope won't be random battles. The pair must uncover their immortality, which we bet will involve this new age of technology and magic, and some crazy person trying to take over the world.

If you're thinking this game seems to be very Final Fantasy VII, you're right. It's got that feel to it with the technology, magic, and itneresting characters. Which is why we're very excited about this game. The graphics look great too. Just as good as Square Enix and Final Fantasy XIII, although that game will probably have more teenage angst than we can handle. We'll stick with Lost Odyssey which is due at the end of 2007 or beginning of 2008. |
