Madden NFL 07 360 ReviewHas there ever been any game as polished as Madden? You might say Streetfighter. But Streetfighter isn't a year to year update like Madden. Infact, Madden is the rarest of the rare, a game that's so polished that it's actually becoming unpolished from all the polishing. It's like a giant daimond that gets worked on so much that when you're done, it's no longer a giant daimond, but a little stone.

Okay, so we all know the port of Madden NFL 06 wasn't a Maden NFL 07 Reviewport, but a complete rework of the game, which meant a few of the Madden goodies you would expect were missing. Now Madden 07 puts back a few of those missing goodies like Superstar mode, but still not enough. There's slight changes to the controls that only hardcore Madden fans will care to tackle. Most of them are minor. Do you really care about changes in a kick meter, or changes on blocking controls? Probably not unless you're really into Madden.

Madden NFL 07 GameAnd still, there's missing details compared to the masterful PS2 version. But that's kinda expected with EA upgrading as it goes for Madden NFL. We expect that this game would be completely "dope" compared to the PS2 version by the time the 360 is in retirement. But don't get us wrong. We prefer the rework over just a direct port. EA did the right thing here. Imagine if Madden had all the features of the PS2, but with washed out colors and missing detail. You'd be pretty pissed. So the graphics and sound are top Madden NFL 07notch.

There's still enough depth in the game for you to get involve in the day to day managing of your superstar. You can play different roles or, and off the field. And depending on your actions, your teammates performance will get a boost. You can sign an agent, make mad money, and get yourself into the Hall of Fame.Multiplayer is what you would expect from Madden. You'll enjoy all the modes and player interactions. But you'll also find a few bugs and glitches, but still multiplayer Madden is the best.

We know. Our review of Madden is a little short. Just like the game. I mean it does what you would expect from Madden, but not with all the options that hardcore Madden fans want. Usually, we grade down for this, but considering EA didn't do a direct port, we'll let it go. We also have to let go the small amount of time EA had between Madden 06 and 07, which we blame as the reason this game lacks so many standard Madden features. Expect Madden 08 to be much much better.
