Call of Juarez Xbox 360 ReviewOkay, so the Condemned has an interesting plot. See, there's a city, Raccoon City, no we mean Metro City, where all the people are turning into zombies, wait, we mean going insane. And you got to find out why. And there's also some serial killer you have to hunt down too. Cause you're FBI and the FBI loves to hunt serial killers and crazy people.

But what really makes this FPS different, and really Condemnedannoying, is the fact that you have to spend a great deal of time in hand-to-hand. Or should we say street sign-to-metal pipe. You see, in this game, guns are scarce and the ammo is limited. You'll have to scavenge to find them. And you got to make every shot count, because if you don't, they enemy will waste all the bullets when they fire their gun and you won't be able to scavenge for ammo.

The CondemnedAnd of course, you'll spend most of the time in dark corridors, or in lights that make you feel like you're in the hospital waiting for an operation. Either way, it's not fun, especially when you don't have any ammo and have to whack your enemy to death with a steel pipe. To its credit, there's plenty of disturbing moments with great flashbacks that make you feel you're going insane.

Condemned has solid environmental graphics and effects Condemnedwhen you can see them. Sometimes you can't because everything is so dark. But the character models are kinda average. They do however, have a good realistic movement when they attack you. But there's really nothing disturbing about these characters compared to Doom or any other survival FPS game. The sound is perfect. It's creepy when it's suppose to be like in a movie.

The game takes around 10 hours to finish, most of which involve just beating your enemies to death with a weapon. And there's no multiplayer. Considering the amount of weapon-to-weapon, that's a good thing. We're not going to give this game a good score. The environment has been done, and done better in other games. An FPS with this much melee fighting is unacceptable. And the complete lack of multiplayer and linear story is awful, especially considering the story is not well crafted and how many of those 10 hours involve getting lost in a dark corridor or melee fighting.
