We just don't know why the developers of this great franchise created this game. It makes no sense. When Kingdom was first released on the original XBox, it combined action with tactical battlefield decisions, which made the gameplay dynamic and interesting. This game on the other hand, is nothing but a beatemup.

You start the game by selecting one of six characters. EachKingdom Under Fire one has a different story, but you'll basically do the exact same thing regardless of who you picked. And what you actually do is run around a few dungeon areas beating up everything, and then collecting whatever you were required to collect to finish the level. You do not need any tactics, troops, or even skills to kill everything. You sometimes do get the other characters as allies.

Kingdom Under FireThe enemies are very diverse, but they aren't very difficult to beat. Most of them are too slow to hit you, or they just stand there waiting to attack, which gives you plenty of time to execute that combo. So basically, the gameplay is the same as Dynasty Warriors, except with monsters. The combos are lacking, so you'll be executing the same ones over and over like some horrible nightmare.

The graphics are acceptable, but nothing stands. If the Kingdom Under Fire 360 Reviewtextures weren't so clean, this could have been a game on the original Xbox. The music is arcade annoying, and so is the sound. It's all very disappointing. You can upgrade your weapon or develop new skills by accomplishing quests, but it's all just an excuse to fight and the reward isn't worth the effort of completing the quest.

You can play online with two other people, which is more enjoyable, but nothing great because the enemies are still dumb and slow. You can log in alot of hours with six characters and plenty of sidequests, but the actual gameplay is pretty lacking in variety, so you'll probably be fed up with this game after 8 hours.
