Marvel Ultimate Alliance HeroesWhy are all super villains Doctors? Dr. Evil, Dr. Doom, and Dr. Pepper? This game concerns the middle, Dr. Doom. See, old ironface has dark plans. And he's gathered the baddest supervillains in the universe to do it. Can anyone stop them? Where's Stan the Man when we need him?

Well of course someone can stop him silly. The greatest Marvel Ultimate Alliancesuperheroes in the Marvel Universe have joined forces to put an end to Dr. Doom's dark demented dreams. Say that three times fast.

If you've played X-men Legends, you pretty much know how to play this game. Basically, you play as a squad of superheroes and go around beating supervillains until you uncover the "mystery" involving Dr. Doom. There's some plot twists, but nothing that you haven't read in a comic book or one of those Marvel movies they keep pushing out nowadays.

So lets talk about the Marvel Ultimate Alliance Heroesroster of superheroes. There's the greats like Spiderman, Wolverine, Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man, and the not so great like Spiderwoman and Elektra. They have their own unique powers and abilities, and you can unlock new costumes and powers as you keep playing with them. During the game, you'll also be able to unlock new characters. One really interesting part is the ability to create teams based off of their comic adventures like classic Avengers or X-men. By doing so, your team will get a bonus to their stats.

Like we said, you basically beat your enemies until you faceMarvel Ultimate Alliance the big bad boss, Dr. Doom. Along the way, there's a ton of henchmen to pound and set on fire, as well as a few weak bosses. Your heroes are pretty autonomous. You'll just need to use their special powers if things get out of hand fighting the bosses. To add length to the game, there's a great deal of crate and barrel smashing, which holds stuff for you to collect.

Marvel Ultimate AllianceThe graphics are okay. Nothing really outstanding. The backgrounds are pretty awful, although there's plenty of unique locations. We would say colorful, but not very realistic. The enemies, however, are kinda weak in detail. However, the bosses look very good. Sound and music is okay. More videogame music that doesn't leave any impression on you.

There is coop play only and the replay value is real low unless you really want to unlock all the superheroes. This game is definitely for Marvel fans, but those who don't like comic books may find better games elsewhere for a better price.
