The MX Versus ATV covers alot of offroad racing. There's Motocross, Supercross, Endurocross, and plenty of vehicles from dirt bikes to golf carts. There's also the much preferred monster trucks. The extensive list of offroad vehicles and tracks makes the game very fun for single and multiplayer.
The single player mode lets you experience every style of offroad racing from huge open roads to tiny indoor tracks. Most of the modes are limited to a few vehicle types. The career mode combines alot of the different individual racing modes together. You can pull off tricks while racing and if you feel that your vehicle is underpowered, you can customize it with over 100 parts. There's also plenty of minigames.
Unfortunately, the graphics are a bit of a letdown. This is a multiconsole game that is also released on the PS2, so in terms of graphic details, the game is no match for the more modern offroad racers on the 360. The textures are not up to 360 standards and the environment is lacking in detail, especially mud and dirt on the actual road. However, the vehicles do look good. The game music features a varied soundtrack.
The multiplayer features up to 12 player races or 2-player splitscreen. The classic MX vs. ATV series is alive with Untamed, but the game sorely needs a graphic update. If you want a huge variey of vehicles and solid gameplay, this is a good choice.
