Terrorists have taken control of Las Vegas. Sound familiar? But this time, they got bombs all over the place. So you know, go diffuse those bombs. And like all truly dumb videogame terrorists, the terrorists in Rainbow Six stay behind to make sure the bombs go off by guarding them, thereby exposing themselves to the fireworks and making it real easy for you to track them down. But it's all an excuse to blow away bad guys so what the hell.
You'll be traveling all over Las Vegas to try and diffuse the bombs. The locations are easily marked by the army of terrorists guarding the bomb sites. Some of these sites have plenty of hostages and civilians, so you can try to be stealthy. The plot has some generic twists and bad guys you see in other games. You control a squad and your order them around taking out terrorists. You're awarded with new weapons based on how you command your squad.
The graphics are solid next-gen graphics with plenty of special effects. The characters are very detailed and the textures are great. The first game had great graphics and dramatic music and this one is pretty much the same as the first. The game has many more outdoor locations than the first, which really shows off the graphics engine.
Rainbow Six features the full multiplayer modes and coop campaign mode. The one significant change from the first is that your characters can gain experience points from playing online or single player. If you've played the first one, think of this game as an expansion with a few more multiplayer modes. However the game has great production values and excellent gameplay like the first, so we can't fault it in anyway.
