Oblivion Shivering IslesApox on thee, land of the Shivering Isles. Madness shall strike thine people and blood shall run thine streets. What the hell are we talking about? It's more medieval gibberish that calls us, I mean beckons us to this insane land.

And crazy is the word for Shivering Isles. After defeating some giant gatekeeper to prove your worthiness, you'll end up in some Daedric realm. Yup, those folks are back again. And this land is ruled by one twisted Prince. The surpise twist is you'll be working for this lunatic. Surprise!

The Prince of Madness will have you on various quests of Oblivion Shiver Islesfetching and destroying his enemies. There's a surprise. If you were kinda bored with all the fetching in Oblivion, this game really isn't for you. The new land is great to explore, but look at what you'll be doing inorder to explore it. The Prince should give you the title of Errand boy. And when you're not busy fetching for the Prince, you can do a few short sidequests. Most aren't worth mentioning. Only a small handful are actually interesting.

Shivering Isles Game GirlsBesides the new quests, what else does the Shivering Isles have that you would want? How about hot looking valkyrie women? And giant insect monsters. Or fighting trees? The enemies list is new and definitely better than Oblivion's ogres and goblins. They are actually kinda interesting and how you fight them does require more skill.

There's also a whole new world of graphics to explore. These Daedric realms are straight out of some nightmare that you get after eating cold pizza and fried chicken at midnight. There's giant mushrooms and colorful skies. There's the giant trees in the swamp. And yes, there's plenty of dark dank dungeons. Too many infact.

To add even more content, there's plenty of new weapons that look great. The designers really spent time on the weapon details. One of our complaints in Oblivion was the lack of weapons detail. But the expansion has them a plenty. Although it doesn't really mater since you can beat most monsters with just skill.

Graphicwise, the expansion has more details in the Shivering Isles Night Skycharacters, but nothing of any significant value. More time seemed to be spent in making the weapons real cool looking than anything else. And once again, let us state that the expansion finally has the hot videogame women we demand for all games. Sound isn't anything that's change since the first game. It's just what you would expect in games of this nature.

Overall, we found the expansion as just more Oblivion that doesn't really add anything new or interesting. Sure you got new things to explore, destroy, and find. But in the end, it's not like you got a winged stallion out of the deal or anything. So it doesn't really add any dimensions you haven't seen in the first game. We can't help but be a little disappointed with this expansion. It does add about 30 hours of gameplay if you include a few sidequests. And you'll have to include them to break the monotony of the main quest.
