It's been a long time since there was a new game in the Turok franchise. Disney had the license so they released Turok for the 360. Once again, you play some native guy who likes to us a knife and bow to kill dinosaurs. Except this time, the dinosaurs are from the future! That's right, futuristic dinosaurs which means plenty of sci-fi guns to blow them away.

So the main character is named Turok and he has to hunt down some out of control soldier. Turok is part of a team called Whiskey Company who chases the soldier to a planety that has been terraformed. It so happens the planet has plenty of dinosaurs thanks to the rapid terraforming. So chase bad guy and fight dinosaurs. But there's more. The soldier turns out to be a General and he has his own army so the fighting gets interesting with you, the dinosaurs, and the enemy soldiers all trying to kill each other.

Since this takes place in the future, you have some cool futuristic weapons. If you like stealth, you can also just use your knife and kill your enemies silently. Both methods work fine on the soldiers, but the dinosaurs have to be blown away, even if they let you use your trusty knife on the T-rex. The AI is average. It reacts to you, but in some situations like blowing away a soldier nearby, it ignores you.

The graphics are great. The evironments are very detailed with lush grass and beautiful textures. The dinosaurs look especially good. The sound is average for this type of shooter and the dialogue is predictable. There's nice blurring effects and very loud primal screams that pull you into the action. You can dual wield most weapons which is very cool. There's plenty of great action sequences that will have your fingers sore.

Turok features all the required online multiplayer modes and a few maps. The only difference between this game and other multiplayer games is the inclusion of dinosaurs that randomly attack players. The campaign takes around 8 to 10 hours and the later levels are much harder, but it's a great game for those looking for the next FPS to play.
