So this is Two Worlds, a game very similar to Oblivion. Infact, the box says it's Oblivion on crack! It's good that PR believes this game is as good as Oblivion. Because everybody else who plays it will say it's not. It does have the same elements as Oblivion. There's a main quest, but you can just do the side quests and go around exploring the huge world filled with people and monsters.
But it's just technically not a well done product, which is strange considering how long it took to make this game. How did we come to this conclusion? Perhaps the really sloppy framerate, glitches, and the complete lack of a block button. That's right. There's no blocking in this action RPG! So you just have to attack and jump back to dodge. The dialogue is pretty bad and the character screens are difficult to read on the 360. There's no physics engine like Oblivion.
So the plot is pretty basic. You have to save your sister who has been kidnapped. The only way to do this is completing quests from her captives. It's kind of strange why you can't just save her instead, but you can't. Of course, this leads to a bigger plot. We won't tell you what it is, but surprise surprise, it involves saving the world.
The character customization is average at best. You can be a human male and you got a few ways to change your looks, but it's pretty much the same character. As you finish quests, you get experience which you can use to upgrade your character anyway you want. So you can specialize in magic, fighting, or stealing. And you can join guilds and get into situations just like Oblivion. You do get a horse and there are teleporters lying around because the world is so big, but it's kinda ugly. There's plenty of alchemy and ways of enhancing your spells and weapons. They did a good job with the enhancements. And you can build fame or shame which has an outcome on the plot.
There's not enough human character models. The monsters are diverse enough, but you'll keep encountering the same types over and over. The textures are awful. There are little touches of wildlife just like Oblivion, but nothing in this game looks good. The models are kind of blocky like an original Xbox game. The music is okay, but nothing special when there is music. Sometimes, there isn't any music.
This game does have multiplayer, but the lag is very long. Infact, the servers are in Europe. So it's a good idea to get a sandwich while you're waiting for your character to run across the screen. We're not giving this game a very high score. It's an impressive attempt at beating Oblivion, but it failed miserably because it compares itself with Oblivion right on the gaming box, yet there is nothing in this game that comes close to Oblivion standards. On it's own, it still not a very good game because there's no block and huge framerate issues.
